Default SkillSelect Invitation is expiring

Hi,

I have already lodged my visa 2 weeks back and now i have received a reminder email in the skill select for expiry of invitation. Is this send as a reminder irrespective of if you have lodged your visa or no?

Thank You

It is due to a known problem when the EOI status does not change to LODGED and remains INVITED even after having applied for the visa: Application status still as Invited in Skillselect account even after applying visa?

Yeah, you are right. The application status is still invited instead of lodge. How to solve this issue?

Thank You

This is a known issue and I wonder why it's not part of many guides here. Once you lodge, skillselect EOI needs to be checked whether its updated and is in suspended stage or not. If everything goes well, the apply visa button should disappear and your EOI will go into suspended stage. A mail will also be received regarding suspension from skillselect.

You have to mail them to the following email if any of the above doesn't happen,

https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/FAQs/...illSelect.aspx

They'll correct it in couple of working days.

Hi! I face exactly the same issue. To what email address did you send your request? What is required to be mentioned in the email?

AFAIK, the EOI system and the visa application system are completely separate. So SkillSelect is unaware who has lodged a visa application, and will send out the expiration notification to everyone who has received an invitation.

They are definitely linked, that is why applicants normally receive an "EOI suspended as visa application lodged" email.

What OP describes is a known bug, and an email to Skill Select support letting them know, seems to result in a fix.

Personally I never received an expiration notification (lodged on the same day as my invite).
