hi there,
my nominated skilled occupation is accountant. My partners's is ict business analyst. do u think i can claim 5 points for partner skills? i heard we need to have same occupation in order to claim partner points? please correct me if i m wrong!

You can claim partner points provided all three criteria are met, having the nominated occupation codes on MLTSSL for both under 189 or spouse code under STSOL for 190 is the key criteria along with competent english and age under 45.

In your case, the occupation code for you Accountant( 221111) and your spouse ICT BA(261111) are on MLTSSL. You are good to claim partner points post positive skills assessment and meeting english and age criteria under 189 and 190.

Yes you can claim parner points for all visas (189,190 and 489)
she should have positive skills assement,
she should be below 45 and
she should have competent English (IELTS 7 OR PTE 65+ in each)

Thank you for your reply. But competent English score for PTE is 50+ in each. Correct me if i am wrong?

oh,my bad,
yes yes you are correct , I entered 65+ for Proficient English.
It was mistake,very sorry for that
it should be 6 for ielts and 50 for PTE

Congrats,
You can only apply for a 190 or 489 visa and claim partner points for both visa clases
