Default Submitting a 190 EOI 5 months after 189 EOI - will it reset?

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could help with my question.

I submitted a 189 EOI on 14th Feb 2018 with 70 points (Mechanical Engineer). I'm still waiting for the backlog to reduce obviously (fingers crossed soon ), and was thinking about lodging a 190 EOI for VIC as that would give me 75 points (couldn't do this sooner as we did not know which state we'd be living in).

My question is whether this will 'reset' my lodge date for both EOIs? I do not want to 'lose my place in the queue' as such for the 189 visa, but I thought I read this somewhere.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

It shouldn't I think but why don't you lodge a separate EOI? Also VIC requires 5 years of experience for 233512.

Submit AS MANY EOIs as you want. For every state submit a new EOI.
