Default how many points do I get?

Hi,

I have three questions -

1. I have 12 years of experience as Software Engineer. I want to get a Master's degree from Australia. My question is: would ACS count these 12 years as my experience after completing Master's from Australia? I heard ACS counts the years of experience after the latest degree achieved. I am confused.

2. If my wife goes to Australia for Master's and I go with her as a spouse, would my years of living in Australia (2 years) will be counted in my case if I apply for 190 or 189?

3. Can I directly apply for 189 or 190 when I am in Australia (spouse visa - going with my spouse while she is doing Masters)?

Thank you.

1. Highest "relevant" degree but if your bachelors is an ICT degree closely related to your occupation then they will base the calculation on the bachelors instead.

2. Living in Australia does not count but having worked in a closely related occupation (as your ANZSCO) does.

3. Yes, you can.
