Default HELP!!! Assistance on VETASSESS

Hi All,

Anybody could guide me how VETASSESS works.

I have 5 years of Experience in Actuarial Science with a qualification at AQF Bachelor Level which got completed through a distance learning in DEC 2016 from IFOA UK being me on job.

Vetassess assessed my bachelor degree with major in Economics (Gained in 2010) irrelevant for the desired occupation as per their parameters (even though the Australian Actuary Society consider Bachelor in Economics as a relevant qualification for the further studies in Actuarial science). Therefore, they have declined and processed Negative outcome for my application because for the job I am doing does not required the similar qualification i earned under my bachelors with a major in Economics.

So please guide me If I can claim points for the Job experience which I earned while completing my AQF Bachelor Level Degree?

Thanks

Hi
I am gathering docs for SA on Actuarial. My case is quite similar to yours as I have 8 years being an Actuary while my qualification is irrelevant to the occupation.

Have you submited SA? Any hope for a possitive SA?

It is said that Actuary is to be removed soon, we have to be faster. Good luck!

Does SA have an independent assessment system? Is it possible to apply for SA without skills assessment from VETASSESS? Any detailed info would be appreciated.

No it is not possible to apply for SA state sponsorship for skilled visas without a valid skills assessment from your relevant skills assessing authority.
