Check the email you received when you submitted the EOI. It states:

It is important that you update your EOI if there are any changes to your circumstances including your name, passport, contact details, address or family members as soon as possible. You are required to do this by accessing your online SkillSelect account.

Thanks for the reply. I have not yet applied for new passport application. Will it be ok if first complete the VISA process and then apply for new Passport?
And then intimate the AUS center about change in passport details.

Not sure, what would be the best option to go with this situation. Please suggest. Thanks!

Yes, there is a provision to update passport details in an ongoing or even finalised visa application. When do you reckon your EOI will receive an invite? They recommend the passport validity to be at least 6 months at the time of visa application.

Then why even bother with 190? You will receive an invite for your 189 visa-type in the immediate next round, which I believe should be in a week or two. You should de-select the 190 option from your EOI immediately, or if it (190) is a separate EOI, withdraw it.

would that be an issue to apply for both the visa at the same time? I will withdraw 190 immediately.

Depends on how you have done it- whether both in the same EOI or 2 different EOIs. If in the same EOI, then upon receiving an invitation for one of them then you will not stand a chance to apply for the other type. But again, you should withdraw 190 as you will definitely receive 189 invitation in just 9 days from now. You have sufficient points for 189 and should let go off the 190 option. Someone with lesser points and in dire need of state sponsorship will thank you for that.
