Hi All,

I was given a positive ACS assessment some time ago and I received my IELTS result today. The points tally now allows me to send my 175 application.

I also recently was engaged and have been wondering how to work out applying for my fiance's PR. We were earlier thinking of going in on just one application as de-facto partners, but I now believe that might be hard to pull-off since we don't have all of the proofs required to prove such a relationship. I'm now wondering if it might be possible to apply on my own right now and later add my fiance to the application after we get married. I've looked for some rule or guideline confirming this hypothetical possibility but haven't come up with anything conclusive.

Does anyone here have any idea if this could work provided, of course, that my application doesn't have a decision taken on it till the time the wedding takes place?
