Here is my opinion. They where flying way too fast on the approach. Too much airspeed (170kts) and too high of a vertical speed, it was greater than 1000fpm at only 500AGL.
So they landed fast on a rain soaked runway with a tailwind. Probably landed long too being they must of been high (therefore the 1000fpm decent near the ground).
Flightaware does not lie.
Maybe all this was due to the weather but still the pilot's fault.
