Also known as Lyons, Lyon is a French city in east central France. Being the third largest French city, following Paris and Marseilles, Lyon is a major business centre between Marseilles and Paris and is reputed as being the gastronomy capital of France. Along with its satellite towns and suburbs, Lyon is second biggest French metropolitan area after Paris, with 1,783,400 residents as of 2007.

Lyon is richly blessed with very rich two-thousand-year-old history. Being one of the biggest cities in France, Lyon possesses world class attractions like the Amphitheatre of the Three Gauls, and the place called Bellecour.
