Default Company formation

Hi guys
I am moving to Coimbra area in January from Botswana. My girlfriend has Botswana passport and it has been suggested that the best way to try and get her a residence permit in Portugal is to get her employment. I want to set up a tourism company. How do I go about registering a company, it will be a partnership with my girlfriend.
I will then either employ her as company admin manager and pa or set up as a sole trader and again employ her.

Any ideas?

Tony,

I have just gone through this, although slightly different in that i have set up a limited company, but there is a set way of doing this, I can put you in touch with someone who maybe able to help although it would depend on whether they had to travel to meet you, i have your email details from previous questions you have asked me, i will speak to the person first and if they can help will get them to contact you and let you know how it all works.

Andy

Hi Andy

thanks for the reply. I am not sure whether a limited company or sole trader would be best for us initially. I want to start up a tourism camp with yurts etc. My girl friend is a citizen of Botswana and so I have to find a way of getting her a residence permit and work permit. We work together here in Botswana where she is my right hand 'girl' doing admin, customer relations etc.

Looking forward to meeting you guys when we come across in January.

Rgds

Thanks siobhan
I am very impressed with the help that I am receiving from forum members. When you are moving to a new country it is good to know that there are people around who are prepared to help and come up with valuable information. I hope that we can meet up with you all when we come across in January.

Are you Irish or Welsh. I am Welsh.
