Default this might be helpful

Portugal, a small country in south Europe (Peninsula Ibérica) has got the most beautiful rivers in Europe, being most of them unknown by European and foreign fly-fisher’s.

Hundred kilometres of Portugal rivers (Alva, Mondego, Ceira lakes from Serra da Estrela ) all of them located at the centre of Portugal (Coimbra is the nearest town, Porto is at 115 Km and Lisbon about 215 Km).

Fly-fishing is practically unknown in Portugal but those who practise it are delighted to do it.

As Portuguese rivers have pure and clear waters all kind of fly- fishing type can be done: dry, nymph, wet, our streamer.
You’re able to do dry fishing almost all over the year.

The massive stillborn theatre and the variety of insects found in Portuguese rivers are an attractive to all European fly fisher’s.

Portugal, being a sunny country, offers attractive vacations to your companions (beaches, museums, and traditional Portuguese food).

Same information Better fishing period:

June and July

Types of fish: brown trout or sea trout

Tackle rod of 9”line 5/6 and 10” line 8/9 to the lakes (I advise gore-tex waders in order of the warm temperatures in June and July)

Fishing Season 1st of March to 31 of August .

Hi Siobhan
everyone is invited. I will have some tents available once my goods re cleared by the freight forwarders, don't know when that will be as they seem to be having problems with the customs people.
If people bring their rods, boats, tents, caravans then everyone is welcome. I have a large bbq stand so we can all enjoy a beautiful location.
