Post Looking for an American to Interview

I have found what I was looking for. This ad can be deleted, however, I don't see how to do that.

Thanks, Carrie

Hello Linda,

My name is Carrie and thank you so much for your response. The deadline is drawing near, and I am panicking! Since I can't leave my complete email address on here I will have to leave it in pieces. My address is at yahoo. My id is mycarw, add the @ to that and a yahoo and you will get me. The list of questions is quite long about 17. If you would write to me and I will email you the list. Oh, I am in my late thirties and going for an accounting degree. This is part of a global business class since a lot of companies are branching out into overseas business. Thanks again, Carrie

I go abroad on business whenever, one reason why I'm a member here.

But Regis let you do that? What would they do if no one responds or you can't find anyone? They can't grade you based on that. "I should bring this up at Regis & Kelly show"(I'm kidding). Checked up & you guys're based in Colorado, huh? "What is your professor thinking?" I had an entrepreneur class at Oral Roberts University back then (2001/2) & my professor treated us lunch at a golf course, have us do a "prospective business model", invite successful people in those avenues and have them rate you. (not having you to find random people) But I do have a feeling, mine is a different story.

Best wishes anyways.

Default American to Interview

Hi Joshua,

My professor is trying to give the class a basic idea of the challenges of being sent overseas on a business assignment. Military will have different experiences since they can live on base and will have others in their unit to socialize with. Missionaries will be the same. However, one of the reasons why businesses fail in starting up in a foreign country is that the managers have to be over there living for extended periods of time and possibly with a family. The culture is different. People get homesick and miss love ones left behind. A lot of companies are getting into international business and this class is designed to prepare us for those differences. The professor has given us some other options to fall back on if need be. College is a different experience all together. The text books are grossly overprice and some of the material is a pain in the ?? to read, but overall it changes a person and improves them.

You are correct Regis is out of Denver, CO. I am in their college for professional studies program. In other words, I am an online student and actually live in the St. Louis metro area. This program is for working adults that have decided to go back and finish their degrees. Mine is in accounting. I plan on graduating next summer. Overall, I have enjoyed the experience and don't think I would have done it any other way. Thanks for your thoughts and input. Carrie

Hi Carrie,

I appreciate you telling more about your endeavours.
I asked about, my C-Level friends but they aren't a reply. Some're going abroad to check their franchisees but not stay abroad in years. Maybe, it would've helped more if you posted your question on here, but I have a feeling, the thread might get deleted. Someone had to give gift cards the last time to attract attention on stuffs like "please help but respond for questions", and people were like "what're the questions before I can help".

However, I do have a feeling you're already helped. I'll get back to you if I could find anyone credible & helpful. I want you to succed. Let us know what happened regardless.......

Joshua

Thanks,

Well, being an Oral Roberts University alumni, I would help by offering $10 via Paypal to the "credible US person" who helps out Carrie at Regis (another Christian university) & via this forum.

The deal is, if you get to be on here (or not) and Carrie says on here that she's all set because of you & deserving $10 for your time. I'd have to get your e-mail to send the money. Is there a private messaging on here? Hope that helps-!!

Default Have you found someone to interview?

Hello,
I don't know if you have found anyone to interview yet, but both my husband and myself have lived overseas in the past as recently as 2002. My husband took a 3 year private contract assignment with a Sheik in Saudi Arabia, and I lived with him for the last year of his time there. He also had a private contract with an automotive dealership on Saipan, and Guam for 3 years in the northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific rim. And then his most recent was a private contractor on Antigua in the Caribbean for 1 year.

If we can be of any help please feel free to contact us here.

Thank you

Default Thanks Joshua, but Carrie finished assignment

Hi Joshua, Thank you , I just saw your offer as a matter of fact, it was posted before I replied but I did not see it until now! I see Carrie posted just now that her assignment is over. I am a little late in finding this forum! And I am so new that I am not allowed the privilege of Private Messaging here, not came I post my email. I know it is because of spammers, but it makes it very difficult for the legitimate members...I need to make 2 more "good" posts before I qualify!

I came here searching for a Personal Assistant position or Caretaker position overseas or in the US or both. I've always been interested in that line of work having lived abroad, and enjoying traveling .

In any case, thank you and Carrie for the replies.

God Bless!
Shirley
