Love: walking down the hill on a hot sunny day to go shopping, admiring the nature and beautiful houses. Wind blowing through my hair & the smell of paella cooking in the air.

Hate: Walking up the hill to get home... sweating like a pig, hair sticking to my face, calves aching, heart beat racing 100 mph, cars curb crawling with men hooting & shouting obscenities.

Love: Making it to the doorstep alive, sipping a rum & coke with ice, lighting a cigarette and admiring sea views from my terrace. Giving up smoking is not a realistic option.

Hate: The hilly terrain wish most pavements were on flat surfaces.

Hate: The bad public transport system, no influx of fast tubes or buses here.

Hate: Stray wild dogs which roam the streets. After almost being attacked by a dog many years ago I'm always on the lookout, trying to find a safe place to jump if a wild dog comes charging. Due to 7ft gates protecting most houses my only option is run for my life!!

Love & hate many things about Malaga, but generally prefer Spain to London only due to good weather & low cost of living.

Hola Stravinsky,

True, true!

Malaga transport system is clean & cheap (how could I forget the positives). Specifically, my bone of contention is logistics, i.e. nearest train station is Fingermyhola, sorry, I mean Fuengirola . In London I'm a car driver, over here I'm a public transport/taxi passenger, until I feel competent driving. I wish there was a tube station on every corner here like London, logistically places are spread far apart here, unless I'm missing something?

Ahhh yes, but I guess if it were UK standard then you'd be paying UK type taxes

Damn, why can’t a girl have everything she wants? It’s not fair! Yes, would rather become fit and healthy walking a few miles to catch a train/bus than be ripped off with extortionate UK transport fees.

Hate: siesta! Good for employees bad for employers! Being the slave driver I am 3 hour lunch brakes don’t rest easy with me. Every minute counts! Wonder if I can apply 1 hour UK lunch breaks to Spanish employment contracts? Need to find a superfantasic lawyer.

Love: Low cost transport system.

Love: Cheap price of accomodation, food, bills, entertainment, 18+ treats.

Love: Relatively good weather.

Love: Short plane journey to U.K. only 2.5 hours.

Love: The peaceful & beautiful environment, no road rage car drivers arguing outside my doorstep.

In summer am sure I will hate tropical bugs!! Thank God haven’t seen a cockroach yet.
