Hi guys - can't stop for long - just popped in as it's our fiesta this weekend. Today I've got family and friends descending upon us. Luckily I've got my parents here - OH and dad popped to the bakery to pick up the empanadas, cakes and bread - mum and I have been slaving in the kitchen since yesterday, preparing and cooking. They should all be arriving shortly after mass for the "vermouth" session before lunch. Then I'll be continuously on my feet, clearing plates and bringing out the next course. The fireworks are going mad - and tormenting my poor dog who spent another night in our ensuite last night, shaking with fear. But hey ho - by 10pm tonight, they should have all gone again - leaving me to clean myself up, dust myself off, glam myself up a bit and head down to the campo with my lot to enjoy the music!! It's all a bit manic really, but it's once a year - and we do enjoy it.

I hope the rest of you are sunning yourselves by the pool, glass in hand!

You generally have to leave the tourist resorts and venture into the areas where the Spanish hide out....those areas are much, much cleaper too

OK, got you now.
Perhaps it was a bit of a blond moment (Tally), but I'm Dark haired!!
Go inland a bit to see some more Spanish places, although I don't know where Santa Ponsa is, but I'm guessing on the coast.

Love... The sights, the sounds, the food, the attitude of the spanish, the culture in general, less crime, lots more smiling faces, and the weather of course.

hate... Automatic doors dont open fast enough!( i know i am still probably moving to fast, need to adjust to spanish speed.lol.)
Brits who get off the plane in spain, and suddenly they are qualified builders. Who then spend their time here ripping off other brits.
