My wife and I are hoping to move to the Valencia region in 2 or 3 months time. We have bought a town house and are after advice on one or two matters.
We are thinking of bringing our car and once in Spain selling it to ex pats returning to UK as we heard that UK cars sell well. Is that true?
Is the pensionable age for men 65 and women 60 as it is here? As we are not far from these ages.
Hope to hear from someone soon and we are sure there will be more questions from us in the near future.

Hi there, welcome to the forum. We're not too far from Valencia ourselves.

On the car issue, I dont know who told you that UK plated cars sell well, thats not the experiences I've heard of. You are selling a RHD car in a LHD country, and although I understand what you are saying about returning Brit ex pats, it doesn't seem to be that easy. You'll get a better price if you sell it in the UK. Furthermore, as a Spanish resident you are not allowed to drive a UK plated car .... you have 60 days to matriculate it onto Spanish plates, and that will cost you anything between €600 & €900. Whilst it is on UK plates you must ensure it is insured, taxed and MOT'd in the UK.

Pensionable age is as you say. If you are not of pensionable age then you will only get a temporary cover for health care here, up to two years. After that, and before ONE of you reaches pensionable age, you will need private cover
