Hi ,

I was wondering if anyone can help me??????????????

Please

I was wondering if anyone knows the procedure for taking an animal back into the uk ?

We have a pet passport which was issued roughly 4yrs ago in the uk is it just as simple as a quick visit to the vet and booking the train back to the uk ?

If anybody can help or offer advice

The animal has to have had a blood test for rabies, the result of this (hopefully negative) and then a further 6 months before it can be taken to your home in the UK, otherwise it would have to go into quarantine there until that 6 months is up. Something to do with rabies incubation period. Quarantine in the UK costs a fortune - someone told me around £30/day so this is prohibitive. If you check out the Defra website, I think you'll find all the details.
