Hi does anyone know if we have to pay a penalty if we settle our loan,I am really sick of the various charges and the hefty premium for the loan insurance too.

We are going to get rid of this burden tomorrow and then I can celebrate and be truly relieved !

Have a look at the docs you signed when taking out the loan, it should state there if there's a penalty clause.

There usually is although not always as when one takes out a loan the lender has the expectation of a predetermined return which of course wouldn't be the case if a loan is repaid earlier than the agreed date.

Buit as I said that isn't always the case so good luck....
