Default free vet services?

Someone we know has a problem with theor dog and ought to see a vet soonish. She does not have any money apparently. Is their a free service provided by anyone?

I suggest contacting the local animal rescue services / shelters etc they should be best placed to provide an accurate answer to your question

Other ideas (not advisable over getting veterinary help) would be to describe the issue here and on dog / pet forums and see if the community can diagnose and advise treatment.

Other than forums online vet advice websites exist that may provide helpful advice for example:

askavetquestion . c om

vetmedicine.about . c om

or ask for advice from locals with experience of rearing animals farmers etc

Thank you for that info. As it turned out, when we took the dog and its 'owner' to our vet, they found it was microchipped and they phoned the rightful owner who was delighted to have her back. So they then sorted out the treatment. All's well that ends well!
