I just wanted to point out to anyone interested that there are quite a lot of tefl jobs available all over Spain on Welcome - TEFL.com.

The contracts run from September to June and you would not be paid over summer. The wages are not great (range from €1000-€1500 per month) but hours seem to be between 20-25 a week.

I am just letting people know as this kind of job maybe would allow someone like me to go to Spain as my husband has an income already from the uk and my income is a top up really.

Interestingly there are not nearly as many Tefl jobs in France which is contrary to what I originally thought!

I don't know if it is a growth industry. It could be that although there appear to be quite a few jobs on the site, it is still less than in previous years. Maybe Spanish people are keen to learn English to improve their employment/mobility prospects?
