Question House Swap in Costa Brava/Del sol?

My wife & I are currently liveing in a village in Norfolk, East Anglia. We are wanting to exchange For a property or properties in Spain, either costa del sol or costa blanca. The bungalow we own & live in is 4 bedroom, 2 bath/w.c large lounge / diner (36ft x 14 ft aprox ) utility room, large fitted kitchen, with breakfast area. Very large double garage, set in Aprox 0.5 of an acre, at the end of a private drive, behind double wrought iron gates.
We are looking for somewhere preferably single storey ( Wheelchair friendly ) but smaller, to live in permanently, but we need cash or second property to enable us to live. We will consider any ideas that you have. Please do not hesitate to contact us. Thanx. griz

Hi,
Posted earlier and now found your original post. Unfortunately our 4 bed beach front house at 179000 euros would not be suitable as it is not really wheelchair friendly having four floors! Sorry.

Hi Griz,

You can see the house details at the link below.

snip/

It is for sale at 179000 euros and I am looking to exchange for something of a similar or lower value - I am quite flexible on price and not fussy to a few thousand, so if you are interested, please feel free to get back to me.

Thanks for getting in touch.

Pansy

Hi Griz,

I remember that I initially said that the house would not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties on account of the four floors, but I didn't realise that you were looking for two properties - sorry!

I assume that you would be looking at our house as a means of income for you and if this is the case, then the house would be ideal. Being on the beach, with four separate bedrooms, the rental potential is excellent (can sleep 8) - particularly as the village is very popular with Spanish holiday-makers and has only one hotel! I was speaking to an agent who said that she had numerous requests for this area and had not got anything available until September! If you want stability and less money however - it is very easy to let this house out on a long-term let. When I bought it, the same family had lived there for 6 years.

I assume that, (unless you find someone with 2 houses in Spain to swap for your one in the U.K) - that you would be acquiring one of the properties through a straight-forward purchase. If anyone wants to purchase my property (without my having to exchange) - then I would be happy to sell for a little less.

Similarly, if anyone wants to exchange a property that is worth more than mine - if it is in an area I like (and yours is!) I would be prepared to make up a difference with a u.k. mortgage.

If you are interested in our house - and possible exchange - could you send me details of your u.k. property? If you are interested in a straight-forward purchase -please get in touch and we can discuss further.

Regards, Pansy

Hi Jo,

Sorry Jo,

Not sure how to work these threads, as I have ONLY REPLIED to someone else (Steve - 2 messages above beginning... 'sorry new to this site...with the house on the market at £185000) who contacted me through the thread with Griz - how do I reply to the new person without it being contained within the original thread through which he has contacted me?

When we were all discussing the cost of utilities in Spain recently, there were statements and replies from many different people including myself and yourself (I think?) I thought as in this case, that when someone started a thread, anyone was free to join in? Can you explain to me how it works i.e. when others can join in a thread and when they cannot?

Thanks, Pansy
