Default Buying cheap clothes

New here. Want to ask where to get cheap office clothes here? Besides G2k which I still think is quite expensive.

Singapore malls have similar international brand anchors at prime real estate prices so shoppers will find the selection/price/size variations limited.

How about following the footsteps of other fellow Singaporeans. They ride the bus/train/car/flight up North and explore JB biggest Premium Outlets or KL Mega Malls with greater selections, esp from premier local designers in batik casual or formal, easily finding clothes coordinating to your budget or style.

Prices are significantly lower with 1SGD =2.4MYR and Malaysia enjoys a lower inflation rate so you will find commonly many Singaporeans cross the causeway or bridge on weekends for shopping, delicious food or sandy island beaches or cool Genting casinos holidays too.

Good luck and happy hunting!

Actually yes, I have been to OP several occasions as Johor is near to Singapore quickly through Immigrations and only an hour short drive. I enjoy the varieties and synergies mingling with busy customers and friendly service servers. Except for a small 12-15% of the exclusive stores selling trendsetters' in season chic brands, the majority 80+% is affordable.

PO is well known for its collection of individual shops which appeals to different ages, different styles and diversity of shoppers ( shuttle busloads of locals, elders (retirees), students in blue pinafore uniforms and office ladies or men). On weekdays expect a humkan traffic crush at many favourite stores, and many ppl emerge with laden shopping bags.

If by local Malaysian standards, the goods and products are affordable to these Malaysian different age groups, social categories and economical status then they should be within budgets for Singaporean shoppers @1SGD =MYR2.5 exchange rates of less than half. Sure, many Singaporeans will continue to cross the bridge for shopping in Johor Premiunm stores over weekends.

I expect OP intepretation of cheap clothes to be items less expensive, more modestly priced than typically found in Singapore malls.

Have you visited JPO? Why did you say it was not cheap? What is your standard of cheap-items from church bazaars, pasar malam (night market stalls) and school annual fundraising sales?

I don't understand your reply- did you intend to mislead the thread writer?

I been to JPO more than a dozen times, accompanying visitors .. I realised your interpretation of 'cheap' is vastly different.. especially when I noticed my association members and office mates rarely were tempted to buy anything other than at the Reebok and Adidas shop - all else, bags included - were not tempting, except for those Prada/KS/LV fanatics.

No, I didn't expect it to be Pasar Malam price cheap, but .. well .. JPO is NOT worth the time and effort to go there, unless you are talking Cheap it terms of Prada-Cheap or LV-Cheap or Armani-Cheap or the likes.. yes, there are few shops, during sale discounting a lot, but that out numbers those "PREMIUM BRANDS"

When the OP specifically said G2K, I tailored my reply base on that ..

Well, I will differ to your experience and expertise in any case

And I wonder how I am misleading the OP by telling him that he or she doesn't have to cross the border to buy clothes ..

Cheers

PS: what is with you implying that Singaporeans are all shopping in Malaysia ? Singaporeans do cross the border, but that doesn't mean each and every Singaporean or well, even a vast majority only shop in Malaysia .. never mind ..

google the tualobang page, you'll find some updates on where sales is on around the island.

I like to shop at the Isetan sales corner, sometime can get good items at dirt cheap price.
I am not too bothered with the latest model and such, more on the function.
