Just a question, really out of curiosity.
How much is 50-70kAED in GBP ?

I have just applied for a job in Abu Dhabi.....not sure if it's a place i would like to live and work....but the money is good, so I will wait and see what happens.
People tell me I won't be able to go out alone, you can't go to the pub, etc, is all of this true ?

hi,

aed 50k is equivalent to about Gbp 7k. This is the rental cost for 1 year. You need a license to own alchoholic product at home but they are many pubs in the city and u can definately enjoy urself at ur convenient.

That sounds wonderful but - we are a family and we want a house of our own. Maybe not 8 bedrooms - we are looking for either a city apartment with 4 bedrooms or a house with that or more - and we have 240,000AED available per year for accommodation.
