Default Ipad

I am hopeless with my Ipad...can anyone please solve this problem for me?

I have a Spanish programme on it.. and now suddenly it is playing random. I have not got it on shuffle but all the different lessons are now playing out of sync.

I also have an Ipod.. that seems to be stuck on the one song???

If you can give me a solution I warn you I need it in easy steps.. Ipad for dummies sort of thing

Thanks

This might be an answer for your ipod :-

Problem: You have probably turned on Repeat function.

Here's what you do.
Steps:
1. Go to your iPod touch an open up the music player.
2. Pick a track and play that song.
3. Make sure YOU ARE NOT in Coverflow mode, stay in the general music player mode
4. In the music player, you will see a status bar on top that shows how much the song has been played. (it shows the length of how much was and will be played)
5. Underneath the status bar, you see three icons (if you are updated to the latest firmware)
6. On the left is a looped two arrows, the center you see an atomic sign, and on the right you see two crossed over arrows.

Your solution:
7. The icon on the left controls the repeat function, click on it until it isn't highlighted in blue. This will ensure it won't repeat songs you are playing.

Other notes:
1. The middle icon, the atomic sign, is for the genius playlist creation.
2. The right icon, the crossed arrows, is to shuffle your songs if you don't want to play them in order.

I bet you were secretly hoping I would see your post

As I do not have the device in front of me I would sort this for you but you may have to restore, Apple products seem temperamental and I have had issues when the software has updated, my iPhone was a nightmare..

Try this first, you said it's not in shuffle but sometimes there are slight glitches that get rectified just by following the procedure, no idea why

In the Music app - look at the controls at the top in the center while the song is playing. To the left of the progress bar there is an icon that looks like two curved arrow pointing left and right. That is the repeat icon. Toggle it until it turns white to turn it off.

You say when you plug in that your hardware is not recognised, I assume your computer has iTunes installed...?

Rather than throw out restore your products to the factory settings

See links here on Youtube on how to restore your iPad, you can do so to factory settings, explore the how to video that you feel comfortable with, as a precaution save whatever data you feel is important "just in case"

how to restore ipad to factory settings - YouTube

Here is the procedure for iPod

how to restore ipod to factory settings - YouTube

You said your product does not recognise on your computer, see here

ipod does not recognise on computer - YouTube

There is also an iPod trouble shooting assistant here

Apple - Support - iPod Troubleshooting Assistant

Support is listed here, simply select your product

Apple - Support

Apple store normally have what they call a "genius" if you take your product in they can also help but I have never come across anything that can be defined as a genius in Egypt only people that huff and puff perhaps I am looking in the wrong places

If that does not solve your problem let me know I am happy to help you, it sounds like a software problem caused by an update or iTunes which can be rectified..

Let me know if you updated recently and / or made any changes, also do not dismiss checking your virus scanner is up to date

I have spent a few hours sorting out my Apple issues and other IT problem spotting people close to me probably wonder why internet modem router names have changed to weird things such as I <3 camel milk and camel4me harmless but fun

Well don't throw it, hold onto the damn thing if it does not get sorted, if your ever around Sharm I can have a look.

Don't fall for the place your iPad etc in the freezer trick either

It could be as simple as (I have iTunes open)

Plug in your device..even if it does not detect..

1. Go to Help (on the top, 7th across)
2. Go to diagnostics
3. A prompt window will come up, press next
4. Click next again after checking your network cables

You can also use iTunes to check your play list as it seems jumbled

It should fix or diagnose what is wrong, if you do want a reset once my device is charged as it's dead I can give bullet points

For the life of me however I cannot program the TV or satellite my wife does that, go figure

I find Apple useless, my products came to me in weird ways which probably comes as no surprise when your products die and have weird photos in my instance need to sort them yourself

Bullet points, just things labelled 1, 2, 3 ,4

My device is charged

Look on the left hand grey column of iTunes you will see:

LIBRARY
STORE
DEVICES

Click on DEVICES your device should be listed there (iPad, etc)

In the middle of the screen you should see your device

There should see Version with an option "check for update" or "restore"

You can choose to select update or restore, a warning prompt will come "Are you sure you want to restore (device etc) to it's factory settings, all your media and other data will be erased. (if you choose to restore)

There will be a prompt and your item will turn on and off, do not unplug it, just leave it during the restore process it can take a while so ensure your laptop is plugged in and not on a low battery

Just a tip as well ensure you keep your devices out heat as my wifi got fried on my iPhone when it was in my bag just walking around they seem fickle

Before restore check iTunes to look at how your songs etc are arranged in the order you want
