Default anyone along the Garden Route?

Hi, a lot of the posts on this site refer to the big cities but is anyone living somewhere smaller? I'm living just outside Mossel Bay and its great to have a view of the mountains and the sea at the same time.
Why did people choose South Africa? For me it was simply the wildlife, nothing like it back in England.

Anyone want to share their where's and why's?

I was at Great Brak and Reebok today.
Sunshine after all the heavy rain, wild winds and cold weather!

I am living in Hoedspruit, a small town outside of Kruger. The bush is great, the wildlife and a nice view of the mountains every day is awsome. All the good neighboors don't hurt either. Over the past 10 years, I lived in 4 cities, each with a population of over 6 million, I love the small town life so much more.

I'm with Native Texan on this one......
Hoedspruit is a wee town, but it has such a nice atmosphere.
I think the friendly people and stunning vistas are some of the main reasons for this.

Been away awhile, but back in a couple of weeks....can't wait!!!.

Even though PE is a large city, we can enjoy the beautiful nature. Everyday when I drive from our house to varsity I pass the beautiful sea and nature. South Africa is our jackpot of possible expats destinations!

Smile Garden Route

Yes, Garden Route is probably the most beautiful part of the Western Cape if you like nature and the beaches.
Have you tried the beaches in Wilderness?

Oh the beautiful Garden Route - I have just returned from you and miss you already.

I wonder if I will ever stop missing the beauty - let's hope not
