What's the story with "indian"

I was browsing jobs advertised on the web and noticed and many requesting "Indian" applicant. What is the reason?

English speaking, lower pay, decent education, company culture........

Same reason why many companies advertise that they want Western Educated US/UK/SA/AUS/NZ applicants.

There is no such thing as equal opportunity employment in Dubai.

That doesn't guaranty they will get the applicants they are looking either...

Recently saw a school's ad on an online forum. They wanted native English speakers from these countries. And repeated it 3 times. And also mentioned that a photograph is a MUST (so that they could make sure they hired only whites). After all they have an image to maintain

So I won't see a big difference moving from Texas to Dubai.

I hope they are not looking for people in the electricity generation and distribution industry!

We hired the Americans for that job in India

Might as well blame it on us!

I do have to say that some of the brightest people I have worked with are from India and it's hard for me to understand how screwed up it can be there sometimes.
