Default The Dubai Daily Rant (AKA DDR)

You wanted it.....

My starter for 2 fils.

AED5 notes. Just what is the point? Also why do AED20s and AED10s look very similar (in darkened bars especially).

ATM's that dispense 500 Dhs notes when you want to withdraw 500 Dhs, then have to put up with the hassle of trying to use it in a shop.

Food delivery drivers that don't have change of 100 Dhs.

People who press the wrong arrow or both arrows when they want to use a lift. Some people actually believe that if you're on the ground floor and want to go up, and the lift is currently up, you should press the down button because you need the lift to come down to get you. Utter madness.

And the amount of people who get off the lift when the door opens without checking it is actually their floor, then give you a dirty look for "tricking" them as if it's your fault.

And while we're on the subject of lifts, the amount of times when the lift stops on a floor, a timid looking Indian/Pakistani man looks in, sees there is plenty of room but decides not to get in for some unknown reason is staggering. I've come close to murder when they then press the button again before the doors have closed properly.

Default facebook

If you have no job and no reason not to have a job... Then please do not update your status (on a posh laptop, with high speed broadband) stating how unhappy you are that your wanky facebook game won't load...

Try loading a $#%^ing jobsearch website then, instead of wasting your life building an imaginary farm.

$#%^ing idiots.

Going everywhere twice! Wifes car reg and insurance up, so go to renew the insurance. can`t cos the registration is not current. Go to the test centre where car passes but we can`t complete the rego because, quelle surprise, no insurance.
One more trip to both the ins company and the test centre and we`re sorted!!

And while i`m at it, I received two texts from the RTA to tell me that i could now renew my motorbike registration online, this after registering with the RTA website and 20 mins general *****ing about on the website turned out to be, how should i put it politely, A visionary concept! ffs
