Hi Idn,

How are you settling in to life in Dubai? I arrived in Dubai last week and don't really no anyone apart from a couple of people through work. I'm 25 and also from the UK.

If your looking for someone to go for a drink or just hang out with give me a shout.

Idn, and anybody else that plucks the courage to go, just remember that everyone had to take that first plunge to meet on a Thursday night and there are some truly fascinating, wonderful and intelligent people for you to meet with... and hopefully become friends with.

Needless to say but you didn't get to Dubai by sitting in front of the idiot box with a ready meal and a six pack - so why do it there?

My brother lives here but he is 5 years older than me and married so he has the ball and chain to contend with! Always looking for some new people to head out with.

I went to Thursday night drinks but didn't say hello to the crowd because they are a bit intimidating if I'm honest. Seems to be a bit of a "you know the drill" kind of attitude and they all know each other already. Maybe I just picked a bad night.

I'm up for some drinks, I'm usually out at weekends anyway but quite new so circle of friends is small. preferably marina way

Been here a few months but have kind of been busy doing nothing.

I am a teacher from the UK, 31 going on 18, pretty social and up for a laugh.

Love the city, weather and lifestyle, the job is okay, just need to get the social life sorted and then I will be happy!

Cant work out how to PM but when I do I will send a few messages! But it would be cool to hear from some of you
