Smile Selling a car in Panama

Hey!

We have driven down from San Francisco to Panama, after three long weeks of trying to sell our car in the city, we are going to get the Panamanian plates and hope it goes easier from there.

We are having a really hard time understanding I think about the sales here and would appreciate any help. We reached several points where someone was set to buy it they said we set up a time for them to see it, and then they never call to cancel or show up? Not sure why or what we are doing wrong? How do we know when someone is really interested or just maybe being polite?

We have a nice Toyota 4x4 4Runner which is 1990, but with a new motor! Once we get the plates would it be better to try and sell it over in David or Boquete? I mean I realize it's a pretty powerful car and gas for a city, are there used dealers in David or Boquete as well we might be able to sell to ?

Any help on this would be great! Also we are hanging out in Panama City (and bored of the malls) so we'd love to meet up for dinners or something fun!

Hello Wanderer,

I was wondering if you ever sold your Car, I am planning to fly into Panama in November and then Drive to Philidelphia over a 5-6 week period of time and vist all that has to be seen in between.

So I was wondering if you could advise me as to were would be a good place to look online for used cars in Panama, I just need something very basic,

also would be great to know what you found to be the high points on your drive down

Thanks

mayotom

Thanks
