my plan was to pick an area in the caribbean and visit several islands over 2-4 weeks, and basically do some good old fashioned cold calling on some island resorts etc. people seem to get jobs easier actually doing it in person is what i have found reading posts etc.
so has anyone any ideas on what group of islands i can pick that are all fairly accessible to one another with a reasonable chance of finding work.
I'm from Dominican Republic, if you can speak a little of spanish, i suggest you to come here, to the Bavaro/Punta Cana area... there's a lot of wrk there with hotels.

send me a PM if you have any question or need some advice

Usually a visa and work permit is required to work in a country, even if no visa is required to visit. The real question is whether it is possible for a foreign national to work legally.

I've recently met some people with permanent residency and apparently it isn't too difficult to get. There seem to be a lot of international residents, just judging from the number I've met in the past month who are traveling or living here in Panama.

How seasonal is the work? Would it be better to arrive in the month or so before high season rather than now, summer, or the fall?
