Wink Retiree in spanish is PENSIONADO

When my mom reminds me that she cannot wait until she is eligible to retire and move to Panama. I often try to imagine the reasons why I don´t make a strong enough argument and have her seek retiring elsewhere (I love my mom) I know why Panama suits me and my lifestyle and I dind´t realize until recently why is so atractive to retiree´s. I went with my Aunt to eat at a local restauant in the city called Los Años Locos, is located near calle 50 , if you are in Panama you must go. They offer an argentinian cusine , the meats are tender and the portions are huge, anyway time to pay the bill and my Aunt (god bless her) grabs the bill, like a good nephew I argued to some extent at the end she claimed that by her paying she was going to save me some money, the lunch was around 50 bucks. She paid less than $30 for an awsome - fancy meal, I asked why so little? She answered I´m a PENSIONADO. Guess what other discounts pensionado´s get!

50% off entertainment anywhere in the country (movies, theaters, concerts, sporting events)
30% off bus, boat, and train fares
25% off airline tickets
50% off hotel stays from Monday through Thursday
30% off hotels stays from Friday through Sunday
25% off at restaurants
15% off at fast-food restaurants
15% off hospital bills (if no insurance applies)
10% off prescription medicines
20% off medical consultations
15% off dental and eye exams
20% off professional and technical services
50% closing costs for home loans and more...
Plus Panama’s pensionado law stipulates that anyone entering the country as a qualified pensioner today is guaranteed that status as long as he chooses to stay in the country
