Default Is $10k enough to buy an acre and enough fruit trees to live off of in Panama?

I want to live a self-sufficient life. Would 10k be enough for me to buy a cheap tropical land in Panama (live in a tent there), have spare to buy myself fruits (fruitarian diet) to live on until my fruits are growing (approx. a year)? I know some fruits grow fast like figs and papayas.

Ideally I would never have to work for food. I would get home grown organic fruits to eat without having to buy them.

When my travel Visa times out I could cross the border to a nearby country and come back.

If 10k is not enough how much would be enough? 15k? 20k?
Do you see any thing to worry about in this plan?

Default How much does a very cheap house or apartment cost

I don't like paying rent so I want to eventually buy a very cheap house in Panama or Ecuador or any other cheap country. How much is the tax like in Panama or Ecuador?

Does it rain enough that you can use a rain-catching device for your water use?

My plan is this: Save enough money to buy a place to live in in Panama or Ecuador (are there many crimes there to worry about?) whether it's my own land where I can plant fruit trees or just a one room apartment (can you buy - not rent - a one room apartment in Panama or Ecuador?)

My plan:
If I buy a land,
I will eat the tropical fruits I grow in the land, while if I buy a house/apartment, I'm thinking of using money earned from out of the country (probably US) to buy food and other things.

Is there a place where there is free internet access in Panama and Ecuador?
In the US Barnes & Noble does.

How much is the tax for foreigners?

I was thinking of either renewing Travel Visa every time it expires by crossing International Border, if getting a permanent residentship is very hard. How do I get permanent residentship in Panama or Ecuador?
