Hi ,

New to the forum but have some questions which I cannot find answers to but am hopeful y'all can help me out.

I am British & Currently based in Bahrain with family (wife + 1 kid) - company want me to consider taking on a project role 1 year in India based in Mumbai but leaving family in M East so it does not interupt schooling etc.

Questions I would be keen to get feedback on are :

1. Current earn approx US$9'000 PM nett salary - what % increase should i be looking at considering the posting , Cost of living , etc etc

2. For a 2 bed flat in Mumbai - what areas should I focus on and what are the avg costs

3. What are the key costs incurred in the market which are higher than you would typically see in other markets (M East and Asia)
