First of all, no, not the state; it's namesake. The International Bank of Scotland has offered me a job that would force me to move to the small country and was wondering if anyone could tell me what it's like. ANYTHING would be appreciated from cost of rent to cuisine.

It's tiny, how small a place are you used to living? I've got a couple of friends there and everyone knows everyone and everyone's business!


The weather is much better than the UK But you do know they have some very strict housing laws on who can and can not buy and rent property?

I've lived in small apartments for most of my life so I have no problem with that; it's actually quite comfortable for me. Thanks for the advice about the housing laws!!!

No I don't mean small appartments, I mean small town. This is whole country where everyone knows everyone. If you are used to living in a big city it may be a culture shock, but then many people like small villages & towns for the reasons many hate the city!
