Default Work & Life in Iceland?

I am looking into moving our family to Iceland. I have followed their economic turn-around about as closely as I have been following (and whining about) our economic injustices takin place here in the U.S.

I am currently in school, working toward my B.S. in Fisheries & Wildlife. We will probably stay in the Northwest here (WA, OR, or ID), or wander up north. However, I have been contemplating Iceland.

- Is there work for Wildlife Biologists over there?

- Is it relatively easy to get by on English while learning Icelandic?

- Anything worthy of note?

I'd imagine that most of them have a decent understanding of English, it's a common theme in Scandinavian countries. Though, I can say from experience that Icelandic can be a pain to get the hand of. Have you had any experience with Icelandic? It's advisable to start learning up as soon as possible. :b

As for Wildlife Biology, there's not a whole lot of wildlife in Iceland. It's pretty much an Arctic wasteland. It's something that would need to be researched though, Google found nothing.

I do not have experience with Icelandic, no. Haha. Also, I am just starting school for my degree, so you can imagine how busy I am! 45 hours/week at work, going to class, volunteering at wildlife sanctuaries, etc.

I know Iceland has some wildlife. Fisheries are probably the main thing. And, thankfully for me, I am getting my B.S. in Fisheries & Wildlife. Their Wildlife portion is rated #1 and the Fisheries program is rated #2.

Thank you for your reply.
