I like the SII I have vs my girl's Iphone 4G. I like the touch screen sensitivity, it's thinner and a little bit bigger display. I can't speak to the S3 I haven't really researched it. I generally get a new phone about every 3 years. The only thing that I don't like about my Samsung is the battery life but I think that is typical for all smart phones operating in data mode. There are plenty of free applications to download and install for it too.

Thanks Hondaguy.

Even with this basic info they are still out there to scam. When I was passing thru Ozamis port the Security guard kept going at my girl about something. She was like just go.. Found out later he was trying to scam us for the fare of the driver (3p already included in the trip fare), can you imagine being so ridiculous? Bottom line is you now know some of what to expect and if something fishy comes your way you can at least question or get out of what is coming... They see a foreigner, they see cha ching! So don't be caught unaware.

Another thing I didn't document. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER stop for an apparent accident victim in the road. If you see, just drive on and forget whatever your home country would expect. In the end, there is no Good Samaritan Law and you will be expected to foot the victim's (if they were truly a victim) medical bills at the bare minimum (if not having to pay to stay out of jail). I saw something on my trip that nags at the conscience of my own values but streetwise it was the proper thing to do.

Always be vigilant!

Saw 3 boys on a m/bike coming from a wake ( drunk ? ) ran in to the back of a parked truck , the driver had stopped to fix a flat and have a sleep when they hit one was thrown across the road and hit by a van going the other way , the police arrested the two drivers and waiting to see if the family want to press charges.
Might pay to carry some black boot polish just in case???

Yes that is one scenario.. The other is a "victim" lies in the road with blood on them, a hit n run victim at first appearance. In the end, you either get robbed by accomplises or accused of hitting the victim in the first place.. Just goes to show you how cheap life is valued here...

These 3 were killed sadly the same as the next lot will be soon, I don't know if helmets would have saved them but most carry the helmet on their arm, what amazed me was the innocent party's were to be held accountable.

I would view that as par for the course. The "innocent" be held accountable for the lack of common sense and idiocy that prevails. In the end, the one with the most money is held accountable not the real perp....
