Hi all.My current drivers license is suspended in my home country,I cant drive period. Can I optain a driver license in PI?What are requirements? Will I have to take a road test or any other exams.I do not have a physical copy of my suspended license also.Last time I was told by a guy renting motorcycles that I dont need a license, but what are consequences if I get caught? Thanks.

I would not drive without a valid license (PI or elsewhere). I would pay a fixer to get it done (bring 2 id's, passport, ACR) and pay extra. Last I heard it cost about 2-2500p to get it done that way.....

also keep the original receipt for your PI DL once obtained. otherwise the police will say its fake. once you have one it will be rasy to renew in 3 years.

also take extreme care when driving. the foreigner (or the one with most $) is always at fault whether true or not.
i recommend getting comprehensive insurance to help mitigate liability and make sure it has "act of god" coverage.
