It's Wells Fargo Global Remittance Services and they only charge a $3.50 transaction fee per transfer. I send a few hundred to my wife's BPI acct every month and she usually can access it in bout 2 biz days after I send. Pretty good deal overall.
Hi Nickleback, great info you posted. If you have, please add contact information for Well Fargo etc and links to the service if you have it. That will help many people that want an alternative to SS direct deposits.

All, here's the WF Global Remittance site (one of those too big to fail banks! but heck, they Do deliver on this piece to send $ cheaply) and can use BPI, Metrobank or BPO. Also has some in Cebu. I've pasted at bottom from the Asia page. It took me about 10 days to have the whole acct transfer piece active since they have to comm w/ the PI bank you choose, but once you do, it is effortless, esp On Line....Once logged on, I can set the transaction in less than a minute and click send and all done!

Thanks guy. That should help many people with the cash issue as not everyone wants to have a bank acct here.
I'm going to re post this in the USEFUL LINKS thread also so folks can find it there also.

Thanks again ,

Gene

From Canada i send my $ to my SET UP via PNB Remmitance here in canada.

cost $8 per transaction FOR SENDING up to $2500.00 CAD and gets there to our PNB savings account in about 30 seconds .. if we maintain a p10k in our PNB account there we dont pay any monthly service charge..

PNB Remmitance Canada has a transaction card we can get here- i thinks its free or $10 dollars - but anyways we can load thousands of $ on it take it to philippines and withdraw from bank teller .. i never did it because we have account .. but single guys that are from my patch on the globe should consider it IF YOU DECIDE TO VENTURE TO P.I

I find MY CANADA ATM BANK CARD withdrawal NOT TO BE STABLE all ways in the philippines. many times i went to use it at 10 different machines and i got A BIG ZERO! I LOOK AROUND AND ALL THE FILIPINO ARE GETN THERE CASH !
but thats the Phillipines ! lol

I AM READING A LOT OF POST AND SEEMS THERE IS A ONGOING SELECT FEW PEOPLE THAT ARE REGULARS HERE AND TO P.I AND FOR THE MOST PART THERE ADVICE IS GREAT ! SO YOU ROOKIES DO YOU HOME WORK ! PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS ! LOL

That's some really good info about the Banks. When and if you get a International Driving Permit through AAA, it is good for a year and then will just expire and you have to use it in conjunction with your US Drivers License, so be sure that your expiration date on your US License is past the point of expected use. As I remember, the cost was 15 Dollars at an AAA Office and has to be done in person because they have to take a pic to put in it.
