I agree Subic is a great place. I enjoyed it a lot and the fact that it's kept quiet and things are kept under what we would consider normal control. I always liked the fact that fire and rescue is there and always available as well as water and power. We are over close to Angeles now and like it here but nothing compares with SBMA.
I do think these guys simply need to have a look up close. Trying to really get a feel for the place here online is just not possible.

You are 100% correct there!

My first run ins here was going from no traffic enforcement to almost stateside traffic enforcement (at least in the main business district). Once I got over that my stress dissipated quickly. Water pressure here is always there as well as the power. It's amazing how the stability of basic things like that destress you. I lived with the rolling black outs (with that went the water too (had a well)) for 5 years and you never really get truly accustomed to it. I like the conveniences that I have here with that and the necessities. If you don't want to live too cheaply you could survive without having to leave the freeport.

If you ever want to link up sometime, shoot me a message. I have been going back/forth to Angeles lately (got my bike in the shop up there and been doing some minor purchases for the house)..

Sounds like fun. My wife and I often go to Marquee Mall and SM Clark or duty free.
We could meet some weekend at one of the malls. I stay out of Balibago but the malls are okay.

I actually prefer Marquee mall over SM Clark (I can take expressway the whole way)...

Let me know,

Jon

Same here, Marquee Mall is better for us also as we go the back way from Magalang. Maybe shoot for next Saturday afternoon or even Sun in the afternoon. Will send you a PM later in the week...

Glad to share. You know how everything is here. It's all word of mouth.

If I am here I would be glad to show you around. I will be out of country for 2 months (mid Aug - late Oct).. I have to earn some $

As of last month In Binictican and Kalayaan subdivisions;

Short term leases (yearly) are going for $700-850 /month.

The long term lease rights (40+ years) are going for 3.5M-4.5M depending on the unit. When you average this out over the life of the lease is close to $200/mo

Example; 4.0M/40 years/12 months=8333p/$203 (@41p/$)

I expect that these leases will keep gradually rising in prices. The original lease rights went for on average $25-28,000 back in 2004.

I also found out that all the apartments in Cubi Point are rented out. So if that is what you are looking for, you would have to catch one as it went up for sale or sublet..
