Hey now that looks good and might be a fun project at home. I'm just not sure where to get the casing. Come to think of it, I wonder what the big companies here use for the casings?

Yeah, good milk and hotdogs are very much missed! The local milk tastes just terrible to me (the stuff they sell in the boxes and call "fresh milk"). And the local hotdogs? What the h***??? By far the best milk I have found in the phils has been in a deli in Angeles called Bretto's (it's toward the Friendship district if you are leaving from Fields .. very near to the best Italian restaurant I know of in phils: C'Italia Dining). They also sell nice vegetables and meats. Forgot the name of the milk, but it starts with a "K" (Karen's, I think). It's kept refrigerated, and has a blue label. Expensive, but worth every bit.

Oh, and Bretto's also has a pretty good dining area (biggest burgers I've ever seen).

Default Thnx for sayin Italian Restaurant...

Thank you so much for mentioning Italian Restaurant. In my newest novel I had about a visit to an Italian Restaurant up in Manila. I person wrote me and said ders no such thing in the Philippines. I know when I was in MM I went to a good tasting Italian restaurant. Its great to know when I will go up there I can have a great plate of spagetti n I dont mean Greenwich or Pizza Hut or Shakeys. Real down home like I had in Chicago. I hope I can say this.

You're making me hungry! There's also a good Italian Restaurant in Angeles (red light district) located above a bar. Cant remember the name of the place was went there as a guest of someone we know that was on vacation here. Excellent food but a little high priced for the area as I remember. There are good places but just takes a bit of searching...
