Hi Jill,

I'm based in Australia but some of the questions that spring to mind are...

will you be renting or buying somewhere to live?
where are you thinking about living?
will you have a job waiting for you?
how many of you are moving to NZ?

Real Estate, Houses for Sale, Rentals, Commercial and Businesses for sale at Realestate.co.nz - Realestate.co.nz will give you an idea of renting or buying in the areas you're looking at.

Regards,
Karen

hi ok we will be renting and are looking to move around the wellington area.
there are 7 of us and my husband will have job and i will look when we get there.
so the money will have to cover things like months rent household items and enough cash to cover us till we get sorted with wages and such.
also does anyone know how long you have to be in nz before you can get there tax credits as we get them here and from what i have been reading with the money we would bring in and the amount of people there are in our house might get them there to but dont know if you got to be there for a while first.
if anyone can tell us what life is like in nz as well that would be great

thanks to all jill

Hi JB

Re Tax Credits, looks like 12 months providing you are a tax paying NZ Resident. Here's a handly link re all your Tax Enquiries :

Eligibility criteria (Who can get Working for Families Tax Credits?)

Re Rentals, NZ Trade Me is a good site to assess cost in various areas. You can search by Town, Suburb, No of bedrooms etc

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Cate...59=0&x=78&y=19

Hope this helps!
