Default North shore city auckland

What is North Shore City like? Is it a good place to live? Is there enough there for teenagers? What would a commute into central Auckland be like?

Thanks,

Clive

Some love it, I personally find it too busy and built up. But I'm slightly biased as I love where we live in the South -East.

You can commute by ferry from Devonport or Birkenhead, but most drive over the Harbour Bridge, which can get very very busy in rush hour. There is also a good fast bus route. Houses in Devonport are at a premium.

I love living on the North Shore however travelling into the city everyday would be too much for me but then there are lots of people who don't mind the traffic. The bus service is excellent and if I had to work in the city that would be the way I would travel.
