Tauranga Expat Meet-up Sat, Aug 28, 12:30pm at Grindz

Hi all,
Seeking to find fellow expats in Tauranga. Am 30 yo male professional (health care) who moved here 6 months ago. Seek friendly, educated, intelligent, funny, well-traveled, interesting people to connect with here in NZ.

I find I get along best with the expats in town, no explanation needed. I'm guessing it's the same with other expats as well, so we should all meet up.

Look forward to meeting fellow expats.
Grindz at 12:30pm Sat, Aug 28.
Grindz location: 50 first ave.

There will be a sign up for expats to find us at Grindz. Otherwise just look around for the rest of us foreigners.

Hi TE - I what a good idea. A great way of getting to know others in a new area.

I've been a member of a group called 'IVC' in the UK. We get together once a month to put together a bulletin of 'events' for the following month. The thing I love about it is that it's definitely not a 'dating agency', just a way of meeting like-minded people. I hope you get some takers.

Give us an update on what happens!

Thanks for the support. If it goes well, I'll plan on doing this semi-regularly, 1x/month or so depending on interest.

Great idea!!!! Gutted I won't be able to make it, though. Still, feel free to PM me, and we can swap details and meet up if you fancy.

Would have loved to meet up, certainly agree that get on best with ex pats. Unfortunately got the kids, so cannot do it.

No charge for the meetup, however you have to pay for your own food and drink from the friendly people behind the counter at Grindz. Grindz will probably appreciate it if people ate/drank something, I mean it is a cafe afterall and it is at 12:30 so presumably people will be hungry. But being hungry wasn't on the criteria list to come to the meetup.
