Smile single mom relocating

Hi! I am interested in relocating to New Zealand for several reasons. The primary issue being my 12 year old son. I am looking for a place where we can be a part of something bigger than ourselves , and experience a life outside of "suburbia".
We are open to volunteering for a host family in whatever way we could be
of service for the summer to get a "feel" for New Zealand. If that worked out, I would want to return before the end of the year permanently. I was wondering about finding properties to lease for the first year or so?
Also, if you know, are there any Art institutes that I could perhaps get enrolled in to secure my stay there until permanent residency could be established?

Any help or answers to these questions would be most greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!
April

Hi, I'm not too sure about the Arts side of things, although I think I have read about this on the NZ immigration website Immigration New Zealand . I'll try post the link for you. You can also look at the www.trademe.co.nz. There are jobs, property to rent etc on there. Waikato region seems to be a good area for the Arts. Good luck with all your plans.

Thanks so much. I appreciate your help! I was also wondering if there were any schools there that have a soccer curriculum for my son. He is 12. If so,
then we might be able to participate in an exchange or scholarship program.
Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks again!

Hi, soccer is actually a lot more popular than I thought it would be here. I'm not really sure about the schools but the links below might help. There are a lot of soccer clubs around the area if the school route doesn't work out. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good Luck.
