Default I intend to go to Christchurch.

Hi everybody!!!
This is my first Thread
Hope it is the first of many: I am going to NZ for 4 weeks in April to help make final decision as to living in NZ permanently. My Son in Christchurch will hopefully be able to sponsor my wife and i.
It should be an amazing to go there again as we were out there 2 years ago for 6 days on holliday. We are both 59 years old so we are lucky we will have sponsorship. But final decision time for us after our visit out there in April. I only intend to work part time so i am assuming i will be able to get part time work in Christchurch.

Hello,
There is heaps of part time work going in Christchurch, what is it that you would like to do??? I found the only thing that was a draw back, my mum misses her family alot, but hey they dont complain about having to come over here to see her. I wish you and your family luck, you will love it here.

Thumbs up Christchurch

Thanks for taking the time to answer: Thats great news: I would be looking for part time work or full time if part time was'ent available.
Over 4 years ago i took a job as maintenance manager with 130 bedroom hotel. involves looking after all maintenance issues and getting quotes form contractors and overseeing all work etc. Before that i was in the contruction Ind. Involved in building residental property with partner: Done all sort of work "Jack of all trades" so to speak. Hope you are injoying the lovely weather over there. I am going to Christchurch the second week in April so i hope the weather holds out as it will help.Bye for now Cobra

Hi Cobra, if I may ask which country do you hail from? I live in Auckland but talk to people in Christchurch, may be able to get some info for you.

Live in the west of Ireland, but lived twenty years in England. Had enough of the ugly weather here. Going to Christchurch for 3 weeks April the 12th. to make final decision. Hurray.
