Default I want to move to NZ but need some tips.

Hiya everyone,

This is my first post and basically I'm really interested in moving to New Zealand for a new start and a new challenge. It really does look an amazing place and after meeting a friend from Christchurch I have decided that now is the perfect time to start looking into actually doing it. I'm a 24 year old male (soon to be 25 in December) who works as an Engineering Technician for a local authority.

I have experience in using AutoCAD and I'm soon to finish a HNC in Civil Engineering and have started to make savings to fund my new start and would be looking to move in around a year/18 months time. I would really appreciate it if anybody who has done a similar thing or have any advice to post me some tips, experiences.

My main questions are...

1) How much money would I need?? (I know as much as possible, but a rough minimum would be useful)
2) Are there any bodies/authorities in England to help plan such a move or just talk to??

Finally I'd be interested to hear anyone's story who's been in a similar position to me.

Thanks,
Scott.

Hi Scott

We went to a New Zealand Immigration fair at Earls Court (a local hotel - not the event centre). See if there is one scheduled.
