Unlikely on terrestrial TV (although I'd be the first to admit I know sod all about the different TV systems around the world )

Another thing to bear in mind - some of my friends had trouble with their LCD monitors that they brought across, due to the heat that can build up in the containers when going over the equator. it seems to be pot luck where your container is in the stack whether you have problems or not.

TVs seem to be a reasonable price over here now.

A TV installer told me yesterday that the sound will not work, that it is different in NZ but can be fixed over there. But i think i would be better off to sell here if thats the case.

Topcats husband here. A modern set with HDMI inputs will work if you buy a freeview box over here, (about $120) then you can revieve all channels in HD

Will the sound work with freeview. engineer said the sound would not work because its on some kind of different frequency than Ireland. Getting a little confused with different responses.
