EOI help required

Is there anybody out there who has done their EOI by themselves?

We are desperately trying to save some cash by doing it ourselves due to financial restraints but have hit a block on some of the questions.

I know that agents have these forms down pat but if we go through an agent we are facing another 6 months wait before we can get the agents fees together and we will lose the job offer that my husband has.

Please please please is there somebody who can help us. Am prepared to pay in wine lol

Hi, I have completed an EOI myself and had it selected from the pool. What questions are you stuck on???

Wife was denied entry but not deported from UK (UK terminology) at 19 (19 years ago). Does this mean that we have to do a paper application or do we not have to put this down as it was so long ago?

My husband is in Refrigeration but as much as we can find his career on the list = we can’t find a job description that actually suits what he does. He doesn’t do aircon and heating (which seems to be the only option available) He’s in industrial refrigeration and works in different environments eg meat processors, biscuit factories, beer and malt factories, ice rinks, pharmaceuticals, petrochemical etc.

These are just the starter questions!! Lol There are a few more but I have to find them again

Question: Are you filling in your form on-line, or on paper? If it's on paper then i'd recommend completing it on-line. It provides much useful information along the way and helps you complete all the bits - and just the bits - you need to.

Also, all the answers below are from Immigration New Zealand - it takes some getting used to but all your future answers should be there too.

SM8.10 Employment in an identified future growth area

iii skilled, because it required, or enabled the principal applicant* to gain specialist, technical, or management skills and experience relevant to an occupation that is included in the lists of occupations held at Appendix 11 or Appendix 12.

b. Work experience must also have been gained in a labour market that is comparable to the New Zealand labour market unless:

i the work experience meets the requirements set out at SM13.20 for work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage; or

ii the principal applicant* has current skilled employment in New Zealand or an offer of skilled employment in New Zealand (see SM7).

I think this is a straightforward one. If you do have work experience in an identified future growth area (as answered in your question above) then how many years have you worked in that industry?

Thanks - we did get past those in the end.

As far as the denied entry question - it states that if you answer no to one of the questions that that forms part of - you have to submit a paper application!

We did finally go through the website but found that they contradicted themselves fairly often - if you open all the suggested links hence the confusion
