Hi, we both looking to start a new life in NZ, would like to chat with people that have already made the move. We hoping to spend the next 2 years planning, as we are tied to our location for that time.
Would like to hear about other people experiances (good and bad).
We both have lived away before, so have an idea of some pitfalls.

Welcome to the forum! It's great that you started to plan so early. Have you looked at the New Zealand immigration information to verify that you have enough points? If you haven't, that should be your first step.

My hubby and I are also looking to make the move in 2-5 years. I'm kind of hoping it will be closer to 2 than to 5. I am trying to do a lot of research right now and have found all kinds of great sites. However, I think first hand info. can be even more valuable. I am aware of the processes - immigration, qualification assessmment etc., but what I really want to know is how is the adjusting. I understand wages are less (I'm from Canada) but cost of living should adjust for that? Any insights would be much appreciated! Thanks!
