hi All,

I have gone through many job sites, and I can see this phrase “You must be eligible to work in NZ to apply for this role”, if im on visit visa at NZ can’t i apply or attend interview for this job??
Any thoughts

Most agencies will not take you seriously until you have a visa that says you can work in NZ.

That's the way in works in Oz too.

Hi

We are in the same position but have just been applying for the jobs anyway as we have been told by a visa official that they cannnot legally reject your applications , but what is legal and what they actually do are miles apart .
We were wondering the same about maybe going out on a tourist visa and trying to get a job whilst there and then applying for the visa , not sure of the legalities of this though
