Default Study and settle in NZ

Hi All,

I want to study and then later settle in NZ forever . Can any body give a rough idea as to what would be the cost of studying a level-7 course in NZ and plus is it possible to settle permanently in NZ after study.

Hi,
If you look on the university webites such as Massey University, Auckland university,Victoria University, Otago University they will have a "fees" section. you will need to select international student fees to see the cost.
I would imagine studying at level 7 you would be able to get a job and residency after your study - depending on the subject you choose to study
:-)

auslover I'm glad you brought this up. I am also looking into the possibility of education and then PR in NZ.

However I came across this bit of information regarding the student visa:

Quote:
Proof that you plan to leave

So that we are sure that you will leave New Zealand when you have finished your course of study, we will need evidence of how you will leave New Zealand. For example, we may want to see travel tickets out of New Zealand to a country you are allowed to enter, or evidence of enough money held in New Zealand, additional to the funds you’ll need for your living expenses.
Why would they want me to leave immediately after obtaining a university education? If I like it there, I'd prefer to stay and become employed.
